1. Prohibited Content Categories:

   • Content related to alcohol, firearms, tobacco, vaping, and federally illegal drugs such as marijuana/cannabis, including dispensaries, is strictly prohibited.

   • Shortened URLs (e.g., bit.lys) and redirect URLs are also not allowed.

   • Gambling, casino, and BINGO content is strictly prohibited.

2. Content Considered as Spam:

   • SMS messages containing content related to payday loans, short-term high-interest loans, auto loans, mortgage loans, student loans, debt collection, gambling/sweepstakes, stock alerts, or cryptocurrency are prohibited.

   • Debt collection or consolidation, debt reduction, credit repair programs, affiliate lead and/or commission generation, investment opportunities, deceptive work-from-home schemes, programs with risk investment opportunities, and multi-level marketing are also considered spam.

   • Messages offering tax relief programs fall under this category as well.

3. Strictly Prohibited Topics:

   • Content involving pornography, profanity, explicit sexual material, hate speech, phishing, fraud, scams, deceptive marketing, snowshoeing, filter evasion, or fireworks is strictly prohibited.

4. Cannabis-Related Keywords:

   • Please be aware that any use of cannabis-related keywords is strictly prohibited in all SMS campaigns. This is to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, especially those concerning illegal substances like cannabis.

Compliance with Legal Regulations:

In order to enable the SMS feature for your account, merchants are requested to submit specific information for the processing of a dedicated phone number. Please be advised that this process may take up to three weeks. It is essential to ensure that all SMS programs comply with relevant federal and state laws and regulations, including those related to illegal substances like cannabis. Failure to do so may result in account blocking.

It is important to note that due to stringent restrictions imposed by mobile carriers on vape, tobacco, and CBD-related businesses, merchants in these categories may be ineligible to utilize the SMS feature.
